How do I get a transcript of a YouTube Video?
Very easy, from your leader profile page, select New Study, for Input Format select YouTube Video, then paste in the YouTube URL or Share Address. The system will then copy and clean-up the transcript from YouTube. Here is the screen:
How do I enter a book into the system?
A couple of ways, take pictures of the pages, upload them to ChatGPT, and ask for a transcript.
See if there is a PDF version of the book available, often it will be listed in the resources section. You can upload that into ChatGPT and ask for a transcript of the chapter or pages for the current study.
Type the book into Word or Notepad app and copy into ScriptureConnect.
We are working on ways to automate this for you and how to charge a fair price based on our costs.
What if I am leading 2 groups with different demographics on the same study?
Add the study for the first group and process. Print or copy your materials, then you can edit the study, change the group in the dropdown and process. It costs a token to process for each group.
Why did you create this?
As a small group leader for a long time, I felt the one-size fits all outlines and discussion guides that went with sermons, and book studies did not always work for the group I was working with at the time. If it was new Christians, the material might be too advanced, for more experienced Christians, the material did not go deep enough, for a men's group the discussion would be vastly different than working with couples or women. Also, with some of our groups using more and more online resources, outlines and discussion guides were not always provided.
Once I had a good system going for groups, I realized a personal version would be a big help to those that are not in a small group, or that use a lot of online sermons.
Why do you need to know so much?
The information we request from you regarding your group and its members is fed into the system to help customize the summaries, key points and discussion guides to your particular needs, preferences, and areas of desired growth.
It is a very key ingredient to a fully custom guide.
